Disney is preparing an exhibition called Whimsy & Wonder dedicated to female animators’ work. Variety reports that the event will be held as part of the Animayo animation festival on the island of Gran Canaria.
Among the exhibits are works by Mary Blair, who, in the 1950s, changed the visual style of the classic cartoons Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan using bright colors and non-standard shapes.

In addition, the exhibition will feature works by six contemporary artists, including Lorelai Bole and Josie Trinidad, who worked on Zootopia and The Princess and the Frog, and Lisa Keane, who contributed to The Lion King and Frozen.
The exhibition will be open from May 7 to 10.
