Lionsgate has launched a global casting call for the main roles in the feature film “Naruto”, an adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s cult manga of the same name. Currently, the project’s creators are looking for actors to play three members of Team 7 – Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Casting for secondary characters will be announced later.

The film was written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and the upcoming “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.

According to the director, Masashi Kishimoto’s stories have inspired fans around the world for many years, so working on their adaptation is especially meaningful to him.

Lionsgate announced the creation of the feature film adaptation of “Naruto” back in February 2024. Masashi Kishimoto’s manga has sold over 250 million copies in over 60 countries and territories worldwide. It tells the story of a young ninja, Naruto Uzumaki, who dreams of becoming Hokage, the leader and protector of his village.
