Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley, who played Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore in the series “The Vampire Diaries,” will work together again. The actors got the main roles in the new series “You Deserve to Know,” which is being developed by the streaming service Hulu.
The series will be based on the novel of the same name by writer Aggie Bloom Thompson, which was released in 2025. The script will be written by Brian Tannen, known for the series “Grand Hotel.”
The events unfold around three suburban couples who are neighbors and close friends. After the murder of one of the men, hidden secrets begin to come out, and the friendship between the characters gradually crumbles.
Dobrev will play Gwen, and Wesley will play Scott. Their characters will find themselves on opposite sides of a murder investigation, eventually leading to conflict between them.
In addition to starring, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley also became executive producers of the series.
