Global revenue from esports marketing will exceed $1 billion for the first time in 2025, according to a study by Statista Market Insights published on the Esports Insider portal.
According to analysts, total revenues amounted to $339.3 million in 2017; by 2024, they had grown to $982.8 million. The sector is showing steady growth: $401.3 million in 2018, $479.6 million in 2019, $574.3 million in 2020, $680 million in 2021, and $791.9 million in 2022.
“Esports is no longer a niche market. Companies are investing in full-fledged campaigns that go beyond traditional branding. There is growing demand for content marketing, collaboration with players, and the creation of integrated fan experiences,” the report notes.
Analysts emphasize that the modern approach to promotion in esports includes placing logos on uniforms or arenas, supporting initiatives, collaborating with influencers, and developing communities.
