Google is testing a new feature called Daily Listen, a news podcast that interests users the most.
Artificial intelligence will generate such content using the history of the Search and Discover feeds. According to the 9to5Google portal, Android and iOS users from the United States can access the feature at Google Search Labs.
Daily Listen analyzes search and Discover feed interaction data to determine the most interesting news for the user, then summarizes it in a five-minute audio review. You can pause, rewind, and skip to the next story. Text transcription is also available.
Search Labs users who test the feature will find Daily Listen among the personalized widgets below the search bar at the top of the Google app. At the bottom of the audio player will be a “Related Stories” tab that can be explored and rated.
It is unknown if and when the new interface will be available to all users.
