The streaming service HBO Max has released the first teaser trailer for the Harry Potter series on YouTube. The release date has also been announced: “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” will be released this Christmas, exactly 9 months from now.
Filming for the series began in July of last year. At the time, Variety reported that it would run until spring, and then, after a short break, production on the second season – “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” – would begin. The series is described as a “faithful adaptation” of J.K. Rowling’s original books. The writer is working on the project as an executive producer.
