Instagram has released an application for iPad

Apple unveils new iPad Air with M3 and updated keyboard

The social networking platform Instagram has released an application for iPad with an interface optimized for its large screen.

The launch of the application was announced on the social network’s blog.

After opening the application, users immediately enter Reels, with Stories at the top, and messages accessible from the left sidebar.

The application has a Following tab with three viewing modes:

  • All: recommended publications and videos from accounts you follow;
  • Friends: recommended publications and videos from accounts you follow, who have followed you in return;
  • Most Recent: chronological publications and reviews from accounts you follow, where the newest publications are displayed first.

The application has simplified viewing of messages and notifications thanks to layouts that display both tabs. And when you’re watching a reel, you can expand comments while the reel remains open at full size.

Instagram for iPad is now rolling out globally to iPad models that support iPadOS 15.1 and later. The app is available for free in the App Store. The new tablet design will soon be available on Android.
