Elvira Paterson, a well-known Ukrainian businesswoman, producer, and active cultural figure, has been honored with a prestigious international award — the Martin Luther King Medal of Heart Chaplain. The award ceremony took place in Portugal, where Elvira has recently been living and working, expanding her projects into European and American markets. This event served not only as recognition of her personal humanitarian contributions but also as another important step toward strengthening international ties and implementing significant social and cultural projects.

Elvira Paterson received the award from the organization Civil Diplomat Jethro European Union during the large-scale event “O Poder da Conexão.” The Martin Luther King Medal is awarded for outstanding actions that protect human rights, promote equality, develop social programs, and support vulnerable populations. In addition to participating in the awards ceremony, the Ukrainian entrepreneur served as a guest speaker, sharing her experience integrating social responsibility into global business strategies.

The decision to honor her was the result of Elvira’s many years of work in philanthropy and culture. Even as she expands her business into European and American markets, she remains committed to her mission. Her initiatives have long been recognized globally at the highest levels:
- Venice Film Festival (2025): Elvira Paterson received a prestigious award from Hollywood actor and director Kevin Spacey for implementing aid programs for Ukrainians affected by the war.
- Cannes Film Festival (2026): On the initiative of the Better World Fund, Elvira personally presented an award to actress Olha Kurylenko for her work in developing humanitarian missions.

Despite her extensive work abroad, Elvira actively supports Ukrainian culture, in particular by collaborating with the Association of Ukrainian Filmmakers. At her initiative, dozens of humanitarian missions and charitable events have been organized in Greece and in Ukraine, in Kyiv and Zhytomyr.
Today, Elvira Paterson proves that a modern Ukrainian businesswoman and cultural figure can work effectively in Portugal, develop partnerships in the EU and the U.S., and remain a powerful voice for her country. Receiving the Martin Luther King Medal of Heart Chaplain is yet another confirmation that her work serves as a powerful tool of cultural diplomacy, uniting countries and strengthening international support for important humanitarian values.
