HBO has decided to sell off props from its legendary Game of Thrones series and put up more than 900 items from the show’s set at the Heritage auction in Dallas.
The largest and most expensive item at the auction was the Iron Throne, which was actually made of plastic, covered with metallic paint, and decorated with stones. CNN reports that it sold for almost $1.5 million.
In addition, other items from the cult series, including knightly armor and swords, costumes, and character jewelry, were auctioned.
In total, the auction of Game of Thrones items brought in a little over $21 million, with more than 4,000 potential buyers bidding for the lots.
