Jay-Z releases vintage champagne worth $3,400

American rapper Jay-Z, the owner of the premium champagne brand Armand de Brignac, is launching a $3,400 vintage champagne. It is reported by Bloomberg.

This is the debut of vintage blanc de noir, a white champagne made from black grape varieties harvested in 2015. In addition, Armand de Brignac 2015 champagne is presented in magnums (1.5-liter bottles), which are limited to 1,258 pieces.

The wine was created using 70% Pinot Noir grapes from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, and the remaining 30% is Pinot Noir.

The champagne will go on sale in November.

It should be noted that the 2015 harvest in Champagne (a region in France) is considered to be very successful. The spring was rainy, and the summer was hot and dry. Hence, the conditions were favorable for the proper maturation of the pinot noir variety, which is the key to the blend.

Typically, Armand de Brignac produces non-vintage champagne for about $300. The brand produces its wines in metal bottles decorated with an emblem of the Ace of Spades, which is why Armand de Brignac is also often called Ace of Spades.

Vintage champagne is made from grapes harvested in one particular year, which is considered exceptionally successful for winemaking. Such a drink is usually aged longer than non-vintage champagne.
