British TV presenter and journalist Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
The 66-year-old Clarkson made the announcement in the final episodes of the fifth season of the show “Clarkson’s Farm.” He told his colleagues Charlie Ireland and Caleb Cooper that he had cancer. He added that he found out about it in May.
The TV presenter also said that after a medical examination, he underwent a biopsy and was told that the cancer was aggressive, but detected at a very early stage.
In an episode of the show that aired on the night of June 17, Clarkson said he had been waiting for surgery for several weeks. He later revealed that he had prostate cancer and that he had surgery to remove part of the tumor.
Later in the episode, he is shown in a hospital bed, where he says that part of the treatment “went wrong.”
“I’m going to be here for a while. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. What I wanted to say is that if everything goes well, I’ll see you in season six, and if it doesn’t, I won’t. Take care of yourselves, everyone.”
