LEGO has introduced a new “Ministry of Magic” set, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the release of the film “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, directed by Chris Columbus. The set includes almost 3500 parts and 14 minifigures of characters.
The new set recreates the Ministry of Magic building in a cutaway view. At the top of the structure is an entrance from the street, which includes a tube station and the famous red telephone box, through which wizards get to the Ministry.
The set also includes several iconic locations from the books and films, including the offices of Arthur Weasley and Dolores Umbridge, the courtroom of the Ministry of Magic and the Hall of Prophecies.
The set includes 14 minifigures, including Harry Potter, Voldemort and other characters. In addition, for the first time, LEGO has released a minifigure of Arabella Figg.
The set consists of 3,491 pieces and measures over 20 inches (51 cm) high, 13 inches (35 cm) wide and 6 inches (15 cm) deep. It retails for $449.99.
The set will be available for pre-order on August 29 for LEGO Insiders. It will be available to all other customers on September 1.
