To present her new music album, “Confessions II,” singer Madonna hosted an impromptu open concert in New York City’s Times Square. The event, held without prior announcement, celebrated the album’s release and lasted 15 minutes.
The occasion was marked by high-tech arrangements: a rotating stage was set up, supported by a team of dancers and a DJ. Video footage of the performance was broadcast on surrounding screens and advertising panels in corporate pink tones.
The concert was free of charge and came as a surprise to numerous residents and visitors to the city. The program included new songs from the album — “I Feel So Free,” “Love Sensation,” “Bring Your Love” — as well as well-known hits: “Hung Up,” “Get Together,” and “I Love New York,” which holds symbolic significance in the context of her earlier release, “Confessions on a Dance Floor” (2005).
Madonna’s next performance is scheduled for July 19 during the halftime show of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, where she will appear alongside Shakira and members of BTS.
