Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez finally became husband and wife. After almost ten years together, the couple officially registered their marriage on August 11. The first interesting details of the closed ceremony have become known. According to the Daily Mail, the celebration took place at the couple’s private estate in Cascais. This is a house that Ronaldo recently purchased for about $40.5 million. It was there that a registrar from Porto came to register the marriage.
There were no relatives of the couple at the ceremony, except for their five children and the bride’s sister Ivana, who played the role of a witness along with Ronaldo’s longtime friend Miguel Paixau, as well as a couple from Spain – jeweler José Rodríguez Sanjel and his wife Mónica González Martínez.
Moreover, the publication claims that the athlete’s family allegedly found out about his marriage just a few minutes before the ceremony began.
There is another interesting detail in this story: Georgina did not take her husband’s last name; after the wedding, she will remain Rodriguez.

And even before saying “yes” to each other, the couple took care of the financial side. The day before the ceremony, Ronaldo and Rodriguez signed a marriage contract in Lisbon. The newlyweds chose a separate property regime. Simply put, each retains the assets they owned before marriage, and property acquired in the future will belong to the person to whom it is registered or who paid for it.
However, there are separate guarantees for Georgina as well. According to media reports, in the event of a breakup, she should get Ronaldo’s house in Madrid. In addition, the football player allegedly agreed to pay her about 100 thousand euros per month for life.
Recall that the romantic story of Ronaldo and Georgina began in 2016 in Madrid. At that time, the future chosen one of the football player worked as a saleswoman in a Gucci store. Together, the couple raises five children: their joint daughters, 8-year-old Alana and 4-year-old Bella, as well as Ronaldo’s three children born to a surrogate mother: 16-year-old Cristiano Jr. and 9-year-old twins Eva and Mateo.
