More than three decades after he played Kevin McAllister in the classic 1990 movie Home Alone, Macaulay Culkin has revisited the character in a new ad. The 44-year-old actor was only 10 years old when the movie was released, telling the story of a boy who was left at home on the eve of a Christmas trip and had to defend his home from two thieves.
The minute-long video shows the celebrity getting cozy in a festively decorated living room, with a voiceover announcing: “Macaulay Culkin sits by a warm fireplace and is deep in thought.”
He says: “I can’t remember the last time I had the whole house to myself for the holidays,” alluding to the movie Home Alone.
The narrator explains that the star uses Uber Eats to meet his needs but is surprised that the food delivery app offers more than just restaurants.
When the doorbell rings, and Culkin opens it, he is greeted by carolers singing Jingle Bells and handed a package from Uber Eats.
