Malaysian group YTL, in partnership with Singaporean technology company Sea Ltd, announced that it has launched the world’s first AI-powered mobile bank. It’s called Ryt Bank.
This was stated in a press release from the bank, which was reported by PR Newswire.
The bank’s application is powered by Ryt AI, a banking assistant built on Malaysia’s first language model, ILMU. The developers say that Ryt AI puts personalization at the heart of it, adapting to your habits, preferences, and language to make every interaction intuitive, familiar, and easy.
The application currently supports the following languages: Malay, English, and Manglish, and from September 2025, it will also be available in Mandarin. This makes banking services inclusive and accessible to the majority of the country’s residents.
Ryt AI can assist with bill payments, expense tracking, explaining financial basics in simple terms, and providing credit. The bank also offers daily interest accrual on savings and other financial management tools.
