The worldwide box office collection for the film reached $ 147 million. Of this amount, 93 million fell on the United States, and another 54 million on international distribution.

The image of the main character is inspired by the life of the legendary American table tennis player Marty Raisman. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.
