The official ceremony for the unveiling of a star for actor Chadwick Boseman took place on the Walk of Fame in Los Angeles the day before. The performer of the main role in the Marvel film “Black Panther” was posthumously awarded this award.
The actor’s widow Simone Ledward-Boseman, actors Viola Davis, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, and director Ryan Coogler arrived at the event. Friends of the deceased honored Boseman’s memory near the installation with his portrait.
Chadwick Boseman died in August 2020 at the age of 43 after a long battle with colon cancer, which he did not publicly report. In March 2021, the actor was posthumously awarded a Golden Globe for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
