In an exclusive interview, Nicolas delved into the release of his inaugural art book, the Black Brochet Book, shedding light on his collaboration with luxury brands and emphasizing the pivotal role of creativity across all facets of life.

Reflecting on your past projects, what made them successful, and how do you measure success in your ventures?

Before becoming a professional in hospitality, I was a client fortunate enough to travel extensively and dine in the world’s finest restaurants. It provided me with a great deal of inspiration. I have always enjoyed sharing good restaurant times with my significant other and friends, paying particular attention to the decor, lighting, food, waitstaff, and music.

To run a successful restaurant, you need a good recipe, like a well-prepared mayonnaise, and, of course, women must love it. Guests should feel comfortable and confident, whether it’s for a date, business meeting, or any important life event. Restaurants are social places meant for sharing experiences.

Before diving into your career, did you ever imagine that your passion for organizing parties would become your primary profession?

It was the least expected scenario. I had different plans for my life and career; I envisioned working in the financial sector. However, fate had other plans for me. I tragically lost my beloved parents at a very young age, and soon after that, I encountered a woman who became the catalyst for a pivotal change, steering my life in an entirely different direction. Regina owned a globally renowned nightclub and was a standout professional in the hospitality industry. I was in my twenties when she suggested I organize a party at her club. I went ahead with it; it was a genuine explosion of success! Shortly after, I arranged a second event, and it, too, garnered tremendous acclaim. That’s how it all began. You see, some things are simply meant to happen. She saw my potential, and I seized the opportunity, surpassing all expectations. While it might sound like a stroke of luck, and to some extent it is, something more profound is at play. Fortune favors the bold. I embrace the unknown, and if life presents an opportunity, I won’t let it slip away. Embracing new possibilities and challenges is a cornerstone of success; seizing the moment is key.

What does it take to organize a large-scale event?

Creativity and responsiveness are crucial elements in orchestrating a significant event, as regardless of how detailed and well-thought-out your plan may be, something always slips out of control, deviating from the expected course. That’s why anticipating the unforeseen, maintaining composure, staying flexible, and reacting promptly is paramount. You must always have a Plan B ready to deploy in the blink of an eye.

Tell us about your favorite project.

My favorite project is always the next one. Regardless of how successful previous projects have been, I’m confident I can and will do better and better with each upcoming endeavor. When reflecting on my favorite past events, I adore anything related to film and fashion. These are my true passions, which I deeply love and enjoy. It’s only natural that all the memories associated with these events hold a special place in my heart. 

As someone keen on culinary experiences, which destination stands out to you as the best for restaurants, and why?

For lovers of Italian cuisine, Milan holds the title of the capital of the best Italian restaurants. A successful restaurant should evoke emotions, create lasting memories, and offer delicious food and a complete package of positive feelings. Exciting new projects are emerging in Dubai, America, St. Tropez, and Courchevel.

What inspired the creation of Brochet Black Book, and how does it contribute to your overall vision?

This book offers plenty of inspirational advice, revealing my secret places, ideal spots for a first date, and impressive venues for business engagements. Festive locations like Courchevel and St. Tropez emphasize the importance of ambiance, music, and shows for a holiday atmosphere where people seek enjoyment and fun. Undoubtedly, Dubai is the global restaurant capital, hosting magnificent establishments with the best brands worldwide.

What’s the secret to your productivity?

I’m focused, highly organized, and confident in making quick and complex decisions. I have this all-encompassing passion for life that propels me higher and higher. I genuinely trust my intuition and instincts and always follow my heart’s call. This combination works well for me and my productivity because I don’t waste my time on projects I don’t believe in. I am extremely motivated since I love everything I do. My positivity and adaptability also contribute to this. So, as you can see, there’s no secret, just a positive attitude and gratitude towards this limitless source of powerful energy that life is for me. The more energy I give to life, the more I receive in return.
