Palm Beach Airport in Florida to be renamed after Donald Trump

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill renaming Palm Beach International Airport after US President Donald Trump.

The move follows Florida’s plan last year to donate a property in downtown Miami to build a Trump presidential library.

However, the Federal Aviation Administration must approve the move to update navigation systems and maps, after which the airport will change its signage. Separately, Congressman Brian Mast has proposed changing the airport’s code from PBI to DJT, after Trump’s initials.

The current US president is also set to be named after a new class of Navy warships, a visa program for wealthy foreigners, a government website with prescription drugs, and federal savings accounts for children.
