Belgian company Photonics has unveiled the world’s largest mobile LED screen, Jumbo162, at Integrated Systems Europe 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. This was reported by Tom’s Hardware.
The number “162” in the name refers to the area of the image created with a 4K resolution – 161.5 square meters. The giant screen is 17 meters long, 9.5 meters wide, and 767 inches diagonal. For comparison, Photonics presented an image of Jumbo162 next to a person, and its huge surface can be compared to a large swimming pool.
The device comprises 374 InfiLED arg.9 panels and uses the same company’s Infinite Colors technology for a wider gamut. The device weighs 28,000 kg but is positioned as a mobile device. A special trailer with a stand that allows the display to rotate 360 degrees is provided for transportation. The design is designed to withstand winds of up to eight points on the Beaufort scale (up to 61 km/h). According to the company, this makes it ideal for festivals, concerts, sporting events, and other significant outdoor events.
The Jumbo162 produces a maximum brightness of 5000 nits and accelerates the frame rate to 3840 Hz. According to the developers, the screen uses Megapixel VR image processing technology, Helios LED processor, multiple display modes, and 4K visual effects.
On the official product page for the Jumbo162, Photonics says that this large display is the successor to its Jumbo100 fleet of displays. These smaller predecessors offer about 100 square meters (97.5 square feet) of screen space. The HD+ Jumbo100 was the best mobile screen that Photonics has shipped in the last ten years.
According to TechSpot, the Jumbo162 can be upgraded to a more modest but still huge 97.5 square meter Jumbo100HD screen with HD+ resolution. Other additional sizes and configurations are also available.
For comparison, some of the largest fixed LED screens in the world include the Sphere in Las Vegas, which boasts a huge 54,000 square meter outdoor LED screen and an indoor screen with a staggering 16,000×16,000 resolution. Additionally, during Adele’s Munich residency in 2024, a temporary outdoor LED screen of 4159 square meters was installed, which became a Guinness World Record as the largest continuous outdoor LED screen.
