Qatar Airways reports record annual net profit

At the prestigious World Airline Awards 2025 ceremony, held annually by consulting firm Skytrax, Qatar Airways won the top award for the ninth time in its history.

This was reported by the Daily Mail, citing the award organizers.

Edward Plested, CEO of Skytrax, said: “This is an extraordinary achievement — nine wins testify to the consistently high level of service that Qatar Airways manages to achieve year after year.”

What Qatar Airways is being praised for in 2025:
– impeccable business class,
– the luxurious Al Mourjan Garden Lounge at Doha Airport is recognized as the best business lounge for passengers.

Singapore Airlines took second place, receiving the highest marks for first class, comfort, and level of personal service.

Third place went to Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong. It was noted for its in-flight entertainment systems and the quality of its economy class, which continues to set new standards in the industry.

At the same time, British Airways, despite its big name, did not make it into the top 10, ranking only 13th in the overall global ranking. Its best result was second place in the category “best airline for family travel,” second only to Lufthansa.

In the budget carrier category, Malaysian AirAsia won, remaining the leader among low-cost airlines for the umpteenth year. EasyJet, a popular European low-cost airline, ranked 10th in its category this year.

Among European low-cost carriers, Eurowings is the leader (4th place globally), followed closely by Spain’s Vueling Airlines (5th place globally).
