Director Quentin Tarantino has confirmed that his next project will be a stage play called “The Popinjay Cavalier.” The play is scheduled to open in London’s West End in early 2027.
The play is written and directed by Tarantino himself. It is being produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The play is set in 1830s Europe. The press release describes the play as “a tumultuous comedy of deception and disguise, inspired by the great adventure epics of theater and film.”
The project is currently in development. The theater where the premiere will take place has not yet been announced. The cast, creative team, and screening dates are also to be announced later. According to Variety, both young actors and well-known stars may star in the play. Still, no final decisions have been made regarding casting yet.
