We are used to seeing the talented actress Sarah Jessica Parker in such TV shows as Sex and the City and Justified. However, soon, she will appear in a new role: she will become one of the jury members of the most prestigious literary award, the Man Booker Prize. Previously, Parker only received awards, but this time, she will decide which author will take home the top prize of £50,000.
In addition to being an avid book reader, the actress has her own publishing house, SJP Lit. She also served as the honorary chair of the American Library Association’s online reading resource platform, Central Book Club, and as a board member of the American charity organization United for Libraries.
In addition to Sarah Jessica Parker, the jury included writers Ayobami Adebayo and Kylie Reed, TV host Chris Power, and 1997 Man Booker Prize winner Roddy Doyle.
