Shazam has already recognized 100 billion songs - that's 12 songs for every person on Earth

Shazam has now identified 100 billion songs. This is equivalent to 12 tracks defined for every person on Earth.

This was reported by Apple.

If one person wanted to find that many tracks, he or she would have to use Shazam every second for 3,168 years.

For comparison, the most popular song in Shazam’s search history, “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I, was recognized 45 million times, which is 2,200 times less than the total number of searches on Shazam.

Shazam is a program that identifies songs. Apple acquired Shazam in 2018, and it now powers the music recognition feature built into iOS and macOS.
