Businessman and founder of the Mango clothing chain Isac Andic died while trekking in the mountains of Catalonia at the age of 71.

The man fell into a gorge in the mountain range near Mount Montserrat. Andic was vacationing with his family, and together, they were heading to the Salitre Caves, a tourist attraction about 50 kilometers from Barcelona.
The entrepreneur’s relatives immediately called the rescue service. A helicopter with medics was sent to the mountains. However, upon arriving at the crash site, the doctors could only pronounce him dead.
Isak Andik was the founder and largest shareholder of the Mango clothing retail chain. He was considered the richest man in Catalonia and one of the wealthiest in Spain. Andic’s fortune is estimated at €4.5 billion.
The businessman and his brother Nachman opened the first Mango women’s clothing store in 1984. Now, the chain has more than 2,000 stores in 110 countries.
