Taylor Swift has officially announced her 12th studio album, titled The Life Of A Showgirl. The album is set to be released on October 3.
On the covers and promotional photos released by the 35-year-old artist, she appears in images inspired by burlesque aesthetics, and part of the recording was made in an old theater to convey the lively atmosphere of the stage, even in studio tracks.
The album will include 12 songs, including a duet with Sabrina Carpenter, which will be the final track on the album. Taylor herself worked on the production, along with some of the world’s most famous sound producers, Max Martin and Shellback, who wrote her famous hits Shake It Off, Blank Space, 22, I Knew You Were Trouble, and Delicate. Interestingly, this time around, Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, with whom Swift collaborated on her latest releases, are not on the list of producers.
Taylor also added that she was inspired to create The Life Of A Showgirl by the energy she gained during her massive The Eras tour.
