The Centenary of Queen Elizabeth II is celebrated in Buckingham Palace

An official reception was held at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s birth. The event brought together members of the royal family, charitable organizations, and honored guests.

Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton selected a lavender dress for the occasion — one of the Queen’s favorite colors — paired with a statement pearl necklace and earrings that once belonged to Her Majesty. Prince William opted for a classic dark suit. Also in attendance were King Charles III with Queen Consort Camilla, Prince Edward, and Duchess Sophie. A significant part of the evening was devoted to honoring individuals who were also celebrating their centenaries; the King personally presented them with commemorative cards and invited them to enjoy the celebratory cake.
