The Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday, with the emergency room saga Pitt and the showbiz satire series The Studio taking home the top honors.
Pitt star Noah Wyle won his first Emmy for best actor in a drama series. He had previously been nominated five times for his role in the medical drama ER but never won.

Seth Rogen, star and co-creator of The Studio, also won his first Emmy for best comedy actor, as well as other awards for directing and writing for Apple TV+ series with his producing partner Evan Goldberg.
Netflix’s dark tale of a teenager accused of murder, “Adolescence,” won the award for best limited series.
The 15-year-old star of the miniseries, Owen Cooper, was named best supporting actor, becoming the youngest winner in the category.
HBO and Netflix led the other networks this year with 30 Emmys each. Apple TV+ won 22.
Other winners, according to the Academy, include:
- Best actress in a drama series – Britt Lover in “Severance” (Apple TV+);
- Best actress in a comedy series – Jean Smart in “Hacks” (HBO Max);
- Best actor – Stephen Graham in “Adolescence” (Netflix);
- Best Actress – Christine Milioti, The Penguin (HBO Max);
- Best Reality Show – The Traitors (NBC);
- Best Talk Show – The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS);
- Best Writing for a Drama Series – Dan Gilroy, Andor;
- Best Writing for a Drama Series – Jack Thorne, Stephen Graham, The Boys;
- Best Directing for a Drama Series – Adam Randall, Slow Horses (Apple TV+);
- Best Directing for a Comedy Series – Seth Rogen, The Studio (Apple TV+).
