On the night of May 17-18, the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 took place in the Swiss city of Basel. The music show began with a “flag parade,” during which all the finalists walked on stage with music and visual effects.
Last year’s winners, Nemo, opened the contest with their song The Code.

In total, representatives of 26 countries took part in the final: ten winners of the first semi-final, ten winners of the second semi-final (five representatives of the Big Five countries (UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France), and a representative from Switzerland, as the country that won the competition last year.
As a result, Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 based on the audience and judges’ voting results, represented by singer JJ with his song Wasted Love.
Thus, the next Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held in Austria. This victory was the third for their country. The last time Austria won was in 2014.
The second place went to Yuval Raphael from Israel and her song New Day Will Rise.
The third place went to Espresso Macchiato by Estonian singer Tommy Cash.
