The First Lady of France plays herself in the new season of Emily in Paris

The second part of the fourth season of Emily in Paris premiered in Rome

The First Lady of France Brigitte Macron played herself in a new episode of Emily in Paris.

In one of the episodes, the main character Emily approached Mrs. Macron in a restaurant and it turned out that the first lady follows her on Instagram.

In a short scene, Emily says that she loves France, and Mrs. Macron says that France loves her. After that, the characters take a selfie together.

The authors of the series noted that the first lady appeared in the frame as she is in real life, in her own clothes, and did not follow any special commands from the writers.

The idea to invite Brigitte Macron to the series arose back in 2022, the BBC writes, after the series creator Darren Star and lead actress Lily Collins met with the First Lady of France at the Elysee Palace.

Mrs. Macron was mentioned in the first season of Emily in Paris. Back then, the main character, who had just moved to Paris, learned that the French word le vagin (vagina) is masculine, which disappointed her. Emily shared her sadness on social media, and her post was shared by Brigitte Macron.
