The richest woman in the world: which lady topped the ranking for the first time since 2022

Alice Walton, the only daughter of retailer Sam Walton, topped the world’s richest woman as of September 14, 2024.

According to Forbes, Alice Walton’s net worth is $92.3 billion, which puts her at 18th place in the world’s richest list. In comparison, Bloomberg estimates her fortune to be $99.5 billion.

The growth of Alice Walton’s capital is due to a significant increase in the value of Walmart shares, which have risen by more than 53% since the beginning of 2024.

Alice Walton has overtaken L’Oreal’s heiress, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, who has been at the top of the ranking since 2022.
