Apple TV will officially end The Morning Show after its fifth season. The final season will air in 2027.
The Morning Show was one of Apple TV’s first original series. The company ordered it in 2017, two years before the streaming service launched. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were cast from the start.
Jennifer Aniston said that Apple had been supportive of the show’s team from the beginning, and the opportunity to work on the project was special to her. Reese Witherspoon also called The Morning Show one of the most important projects of her career.
The showrunner and executive producer of the series is Charlotte Staudt, and the director and executive producer is Mimi Leder.
Since its premiere, The Morning Show has consistently received prestigious television awards and nominations. The series has been nominated for 28 Emmy Awards and won four, including two for Billy Crudup for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have also been nominated for multiple Emmys.
