The Series ‘Emily in Paris’ to Conclude with its Sixth Season

The second part of the fourth season of Emily in Paris premiered in Rome

Netflix officially announced the conclusion of the series ‘Emily in Paris’ following its sixth season. This was revealed by the show’s creator, Darren Star, and the lead actress, Lily Collins, who also addressed the audience in a new video on the platform. Filming of the final season commenced in Greece, and the production team will later operate in Monaco; the final phase will take place in Paris, the iconic setting of the series.

Lily Collins emphasized that portraying Emily Cooper has been a significant milestone in her career. In turn, Darren Star expressed gratitude to Netflix, the entire project team, and the audience, describing the experience of working on the series as “a journey of a lifetime.”

Since its premiere in 2020, ‘Emily in Paris’ has become one of Netflix’s most successful romantic series. Over its five-season run, the project remained in Netflix’s worldwide Top 10 English-language series for a total of 32 weeks, reaching the top of the viewing charts in 90 countries.

The narrative centers around Emily Cooper, an American who relocates from Chicago to Paris to work at a marketing agency. The plot explores a blend of her career growth, personal life, friendships, and romantic developments.

For the sixth season, the main cast, including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, and Samuel Arnold, will return. The events will pick up from the fifth season’s conclusion, during which Emily was in Rome and began a relationship with Marcello, but ultimately realized her life is inseparable from Paris.

Viewers anticipate that the series’ conclusion may hint at a reconciliation between Emily and Gabriel, a couple whose relationship has been central since the project’s inception.
