President Donald Trump’s family is entering the mobile communications market, announcing the launch of its own operator, T1 Mobile. Bloomberg reported this on June 16.
Donald Trump’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., unveiled the new T1 Mobile service on Monday at Trump Tower in New York. This happened on the 10th anniversary of their father’s announcement of his intention to run for president in 2016.
The company positions itself as a manufacturer that uses only US-made equipment. The Trump-branded service will operate on the network capabilities of all three key US operators: T-Mobile US Inc., Verizon Communications Inc., and AT&T Inc.
In addition to mobile communications, the company plans to produce its own Android-based device. The smartphone will cost $499 and be available in an “elegant gold” version.
