Saudi Arabia is implementing the Neom project, which envisages the creation of a hydrogen island city that will produce up to 600,000 tons of green energy.

The $8.4 billion project is scheduled to be completed by 2026, and construction began in March 2023.

By December 2023, an assembly shop had already been built and the construction of two 70,000-ton ammonia tanks and electrolyzers from the German company Thyssenkrupp Nucera was underway.

Saudi Arabia continues to reduce its dependence on oil by focusing on green energy, in particular hydrogen, which could replace fossil fuels in the future.
