Disney and Pixar’s animated film Toy Story 5 has surpassed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2026.
The film has already grossed $448 million at the domestic box office and $573 million internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $1.022 billion.
Toy Story 5 became the third film this year to gross over $1 billion, following The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($1.001 billion) and Michael ($1.001 billion).
Analysts say 2026 could be the most successful year for theaters since the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of the number of films surpassing the billion-dollar mark.
