Travolta Receives the Cannes Film Festival’s Honorary Palme d’Or

American actor John Travolta was awarded the Cannes Film Festival’s honorary Palme d’Or.

The actor and director attended the festival to present his directorial debut, “Propeller: A One-Way Night Flight.”

The film, which runs just one hour, is an autobiographical episode from Travolta’s life, as described in his only book of the same title, published in 1997. The viewer is transported back to 1962: eight-year-old Jeff takes his first flight, even though airplanes have always been his greatest passion and dream, just as they were in the director’s own life.
