The top prize of the 76th Berlin Film Festival, the Golden Bear, went to Ilker Katak’s “Yellow Letters,” a drama about an artist couple in Turkey who face the pressure of authoritarianism.
The German-Turkish director received the top prize from jury president Wim Wenders. At the same time, the films “Salvation” and “Queen of the Sea” were also the top winners. A total of 22 films were screened in the main competition.
The Berlin International Film Festival is an A-category international film festival, considered one of the most prestigious in Europe and the world. It has been held every year in February since 1951.
