Warner Bros. Discovery is developing a full-length film set in the “Game of Thrones” universe, with events taking place 300 years before the start of the main series. This is reported by The Guardian.
According to the publication, the studio is preparing a film set in Westeros that will focus on King Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of six of the seven kingdoms. The script was commissioned from Beau Willimon, the showrunner of the “House of Cards” series and the screenwriter of the American TV series “Andor” from the “Star Wars” franchise.
The news about the prequel came at an uncertain time for the studio, against the backdrop of Paramount Skydance’s agreement to acquire Warner Bros.
It is noted that HBO is also developing a television project inspired by the same story.
