Who is WMR?

Miles Anthony – a British producer, talent, and football agent.

Rob Craine – British producer and creative, who oversees story and script development.

Ian Franses, a chartered accountant and Chief Operating Officer of the British company Peacock Film Finance Limited. Peacock handles all our financial matters.

What is your agenda?

We are planning to produce, over the next few years, a slate of commercially driven films working with a mixture of both established and emerging talent.

Which projects are leading your agenda right now?

We have three features leading our current agenda, all of which are being promoted at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. They are an action thriller, Reigns Rules, a supernatural film called Shane Road, written and directed by Felicia Villareal and inspired by true events, plus a teen sex comedy called The Seven Tedly Sins, to be directed by Charlie Matthau, son of Walter Matthau. This should appeal to audiences of such popular movies as the American Pie series.

Willi Kamarad: Why investors should consider participating in media

Why should investors consider participating in media?

The last few years have been challenging for the industry, particularly with the pandemic and the Writers and SAG-AFTRA strikes. However, it remains resilient, and cinema and television continue to be a mainstay for global audiences, entertaining them, challenging them, and bringing them together through their love of story. The industry has also had to evolve with the advent of streaming services proving strong competition for the box office. WMR is certain that there remains room for both, and by producing films that will bring the most engaging stories, delivered by both established talent that already carries a following, and emerging creatives that will engage with our audiences, we look forward to developing working relationships with professionals who share our creative vision and commercial drive.
