Zoom Video Communications Inc. is changing its name to Zoom Communications Inc., and its main product will be the AI assistant Zoom AI Companion.
The AI Companion app built into Zoom Workplace summarizes meeting content, can prepare email responses, and performs other tasks.
The company believes that it will be a fully customizable digital twin over time, so in the future, employees will be able to “work only four days a week.”
Zoom will continue to create easy-to-use products while simultaneously beginning the transition to an AI-focused work platform.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Zoom’s annual revenue quadrupled to $777.2 million by the end of 2020. However, when the pandemic and quarantine ended in 2022, Zoom’s numbers dropped.
