American actress Daveigh Chase, known for her role as Samara Morgan in the iconic horror film “The Ring” and for voicing Lilo in the animated film “Lilo & Stitch,” passed away at the age of 35. Her passing was confirmed by her relatives and manager, John Ryan Jr. According to their reports, Daveigh passed away on June 16 at a Los Angeles hospital due to complications caused by meningitis and sepsis resulting from a blood infection.
Chase’s career began in her childhood. She appeared in productions such as “Donnie Darko,” “Artificial Intelligence: AI,” and “Beethoven’s 5th,” and in series including “ER,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” and “Charmed,” among others. She gained international recognition for her role as Samara Morgan in the 2002 film “The Ring,” for which she received the MTV Movie Award in the “Best Villain” category.
Additionally, Chase won an Annie Award for voicing the lead character in the animated film “Lilo & Stitch.” In recent years, the actress has led a private life, deliberately choosing independent film projects and dedicating significant time to charitable endeavors like animal rescue.
