The first official pizzeria based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series will appear in Los Angeles. The facility is inspired by the aesthetics of the 1987 animated series. Restaurateur Andy Nguyen pursued the project for more than a decade and eventually partnered with Paramount.
“This place can’t just look cool. Food should be a surprise. Otherwise, the fans will destroy us,” he says.
Apparently, the legendary pizza with pepperoni and marshmallows is not planned for the menu. Still, each guest can add cheese to the dish. By the end of the year, they plan to open two more pizzerias in São Paulo and Mexico City.
