Another suspect in the death of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry has pleaded guilty. The deceased’s personal physician, Salvador Plascencia, admitted in court yesterday that he supplied the actor with ketamine without a prescription and, moreover, sometimes personally visited the Friends star to give him injections.
The doctor now faces up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine.
According to The Guardian, new gruesome details were also revealed in court, including correspondence between the doctor and his colleague, Mark Chavez, another defendant in Perry’s death, in which they discussed the possibility of profiting from the star’s addiction to illegal substances.
The actor struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for years, and his body was found in his home on October 28, 2023. Perry’s lawyer, Martin Estrada, previously stated that the actor had received 27 injections of ketamine in the last three days of his life.
