The American company Apple plans to unveil its first smart glasses as early as the summer of 2027 during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. This is reported by Bloomberg.
The specific deadline indicates that Apple wants developers to start creating applications for the new device. At the same time, it creates another challenge: the need to address growing privacy concerns associated with AI-enabled glasses and built-in cameras.
The company originally planned to introduce the glasses, codenamed N50, at the end of this year, with their presentation scheduled for early 2027.
One reason for the delay is that Apple’s engineering and marketing teams are working not only to improve the product but also to resolve the privacy issue.
The cameras built into the glasses have a stealth factor. They are more like a hidden camera – something that can record people without their permission.
