Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that a new Deadpool movie is in the works. The actor made the announcement during a speech at Fanatics Fest 2026. The upcoming film will continue the franchise following the success of “Deadpool and Wolverine” in 2024.
During his interaction with the audience, Reynolds said that the creators still have a lot of unused material from the comics. At the same time, he confirmed that the franchise will receive a sequel.
The actor did not specify whether the new project will be another solo film about Deadpool or a team story in which his character will play a supporting role.
The film “Deadpool and Wolverine”, in which Ryan Reynolds starred alongside Hugh Jackman, was released in 2024 and became the highest-grossing R-rated film in history. The film’s worldwide box office gross exceeded $1.3 billion.
