The big iPhone update came out on September 16, 2024. Apple has revamped the interface in it, added a game mode, security features and seriously improved iMessage.
At the head of iOS 18 is the integration with the artificial intelligence Apple Intelligence, which will offer more than 20 new functions: it can create pictures, work inside applications and understand the context of the conversation. In particular, due to it Siri is seriously updated – it works on the basis of ChatGPT4-o and recognizes what is happening on the smartphone screen.
The update contains a lot of new features, and you can even install it on any model, starting with the iPhone XR. That said, only the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 16 lineup will get the AI features.
You can download iOS 18 through the Settings app. You will be prompted to install iOS 17.7, which was released in parallel, or download the latest build – the download button is located at the very bottom of the screen.
