The Disney+ streaming platform will show a documentary about the work of James Cameron, one of the most successful film directors in the world, focusing on the creation of films from the “Avatar” franchise. This was reported by Variety.
The premiere of the film “Fire and Water: The Making of the ‘Avatar’ films” will take place on November 7 this year exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service.
The two-part documentary will take a “deep dive” into the process of creating the 2022 film “Avatar: The Way of Water” and will also show a brief preview of the upcoming “Avatar: Fire and Ash”.
Viewers will be able to see behind-the-scenes footage and various interviews with the film’s actors and directors, including Cameron himself, the late producer Jon Landau, and actors Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Kate Winslet.
The original 2009 blockbuster Avatar franchise and its highly anticipated sequel Avatar: The Way of Water grossed over $2 billion worldwide and are the two highest-grossing films of all time.
Cameron himself is currently the only filmmaker to have three of his films – the two Avatars and Titanic – gross over $2 billion at the box office.
