Kathleen Kennedy leaves Lucasfilm after 14 years on Star Wars

Chief Kathleen Kennedy is leaving Lucasfilm after 14 years on the Star Wars franchise. Dave Filoni and Lynwen Brennan will be the new co-presidents of Lucasfilm. Filoni has been with the studio since 2008, when he worked with George Lucas on the animated series The Clone Wars. He later became the director and producer of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka Tano. Lynwen Brennan has held senior positions at the studio for many years, overseeing operations and management.

Kennedy has overseen the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises since Disney acquired Lucasfilm for $4 billion in 2012. She brought Star Wars back to the big screen with the sequel trilogy from The Force Awakens (2015) to The Rise of Skywalker (2019).
